Define narcissism| characteristics of a narcissist|Narcissistic definition| | Narcissistic red flag

Narcissists think about themselves before others and act as if the world revolves around them. A narcissist disregards the boundaries of others and has an obsession with materialism and superficiality. They show low levels of empathy and caring towards others. A person with narcissistic characteristics has a sense of entitlement and a thirst for interpersonal exploitation. So how to pick up a narcissist? Narcissists take pleasure and joy in bringing down others. For example, if you work with them they try their best to minimise your efforts, criticize you and find faults. No matter what you do, they find something to be-little and harm you. Narcissists have an insatiable sense of competitiveness, due to pathological envy and the need to be the centre of attention. Most narcissists cannot stand to be ignored, they feel entitled to your constant attention, so they will continue to make persistent efforts until they get it or attempt to sabotage you if they fail. People who live with or work with a narcissist are ten times more likely to suffer depression and poor health due to abuse they endure in the hands of a narcissist. It is very critical to recognise these people early and try to minimise your contact with them. Stay calm whenever a narcissist tries to provoke you; your indifference and courage in the face of their threats or insults is actually your greatest tool against their tactics. It unsettles them when a target is not so easily rattled, because that means there is something more powerful about their victim than they expected. In summary: 1- Recognise a narcissist 2- Understand they are dangerous 3- Stay calm and non-reactive 4- Avoid them to the best of your ability
